- Anje Woodruffe, 33 has a combined background in commercial production, events management and broadcast media. She is a hands on manager with highly developed negotiation skills and knowledgeable cultivator of strategic business partnerships. This young woman has an uncompromising passion for creativity, innovation and excellence. Anje possesses a Bachelor of Arts with High Honors in Communications with a Specialization in Radio/TV broadcasting & Speech Communication & Rhetorical Studies from Hofstra University. The Degree came about 4 years after Anje launched her career in her native country of Trinidad where, at age 17, she was controlling the airwaves, microphone and mixer for 98.9FM Radi-Yo! Anje’s exceptional communication skills paved the way for her career as an Advertising Broadcast Producer for Grey Worldwide where she produced successful commercials for clients such as Slim Fast Foods, Procter & Gamble, GlaxoSmithKlein, Pfizer, Wyeth and Cannon. In 1999, Anje formed Soula Entertainment. This Self started enterprise in 1999 as a commissioned production liaison between local and foreign promoters in the booking, negotiating and signing of Billboard entertainers for international concert events became a profitable venture. Today she can be credited for securing the following: Genuwine, AJ Calloway (formerly of BET’s 106th and Park), Arissa Hill (MTV’s Real World Las Vegas), Usher, Lauryn Hill, DMX, Method Man, Supercat. Anje can be credited for the success and career development of Marlon Asher – the Ganja Farmer- Trinidad’s first Internationally recognized Reggae singer. In 2005, Anje & her brother, Geron formed Woodruffe & Woodruffe Management as well as Caribbean Underground Productions – a production company aimed at developing unknown but talented singers from Trinidad. Marlon Asher won the C.O.T.T. award for best reggae singer in 2007. Since then, she has taken on management representation for singer Rayvon and instrumentalist, Robert ‘Dubz’ Browne At present, Anje balances her music career in addition to being a Human Resources Director for a French conglomerate. When asked what’s next for her she said, “ Anything that comes to me is a blessing from God – be it good or bad. In the meantime – I ‘m gonna keep on dreaming. Dreams keep our souls alive and it’s important to live a life that matters.”
