Whoever came up with Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and movies such as this really should be taken out and shot. Ohh, I know, I am really starting to sound like a bitter woman, well, can you really blame me? I have done nothing for the past week but watch back-to-back Sex and the City and I think today I completely identify with Miranda: bitter, cold, hating most men and toxic! But seriously, enough about me.........why do we let our little girls watch such silly movies and fill their heads up with such lies and disappointment. I call them toxic fairytales made up by dress makers to sell wedding gowns and the entire industry of huge weddings. Our girls grow up with all these very unrealistic expectations out of life, out of men, out of their relationships and worse out of marriage. Oh yes, there are a few that meet Mr. Charming, move in, get married and have babies only to wake up and realize that Mr. Charming has been hanging out at the local strip joint paying for lap dances with a stranger who probably doesn't even like men! Why? Well, because Mrs. Charming isn't so charming anymore and she just doesn't seem to do it for him, or he just wants to experiment. Ohhhh and a strip club is on his good day. Religious people tend to be the worst too! OF COURSE I know about five relationships that are real Cinderella stories and they all live on a street called Delaware.

You will have to excuse me if I sound a little angry or bitter right now, but what has happened to men? Have they slowly digressed into animals of the worst kind? Did feminism destroy all decency in men or did it just bring to light how shitty they really are? Have we women somehow contributed to this social disaster? I wonder. All I know is that if I had a daughter, I would not allow her to watch such silly fantasy movies that will only set her up for grave disappointment and hurt as she arrives to young womanhood. I wouldn't want her to be naive and gullible as to what really exists in the world today. Maybe this is what is happening in the Y generation already. Young girls are taking what they feel is theirs. As I listen to their stories, this Y generation is a little harder than the X generation and they certainly have learned how to play the game much better then my generation. Even my own adorable son admits that he is a real jerk. However, I like the girls that he likes because they play his game better than he does. They give it back to him and it seems to be acceptable. These girls play like boys. Maybe seeing all the divorce amongst us has given the younger women a different perspective on how to treat men. I like it! These young women don't seem to put up with much.

I take my hat off to them. I am learning something from them!
